FAQ

A few frequently asked questions about our program and the paperwork required for tryouts:

Question 1:  If a Waterloo resident wants to attend another Alliance Centre’s tryout, does he need a letter from the  Waterloo Minor Hockey office or a F1 form?

Answer: No letter is needed from Waterloo Minor Hockey.  After August 23rd, a player can attend tryouts anywhere within the Alliance. If a player is released from an Alliance team, he can contact the Alliance for a Member Partner Letter which allows him to proceed to tryout with any team in the OHF at the U18 AAA (formerly Major Midget AAA) level.

Question 2:  If a Waterloo resident wants to attend an OMHA center tryout, does he need a F1 form from Waterloo Minor Hockey?

Answer:  F1s are not used for U18 AAA hockey anymore.  The player will only need an Alliance Member Partner release letter.
